NGO Involved: JEPC  |  Location: Pokhara, Kaski District

Project Period: Feb 2020 – Aug 2020

One of our newer projects at JEPC Education Center is providing a laptop computer so that the children can learn about technology and use of a computer.

Building Education has tried and tested the Raspberry Pi computer which is affordable and a great source of education for the students as they get to learn all the different parts and piece it together before use.

The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers that promote teaching basic computer science in developing countries. There is also free training and software that is already installed, perfect for the new learner.

Building Education believes that providing technology is preparing the students for the future of Nepal. Not only does this give the children access to the unlimited amount of education that is available on the internet, but the students can also take free classes in English, Mathematics, Science and additional hobbies.

It gives them the ability to do research, learn about different places, and most of all, it provides them with an abundance of opportunities.

Technology is the present and it is the future, giving the students access to it now will only better prepare them to be resourceful for tomorrow’s future.
